About the role

Nemours Children's Hospital, Delaware is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our Orthopedics Team! Come join a nationally renowned Orthopedics team! The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday day time shifts with no weekends or holidays. 

The orthopedic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works independently and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to provide care for pediatric patients ages 0 – 21 years with orthopedic needs. Interested candidates should be organized, self-directed, and possess excellent communication skills.  Primary responsibilities may include inpatient consultations, ordering of labs and diagnostic tests, lab interpretation, care coordination with families and specialty services. Additionally, the orthopedic APP would be responsible for independent and collaborative practice within orthopedic sub-specialty clinic visits involving care coordination for these patients.

Qualifications:

  1. Active Delaware Advanced Practice Nurse Licensure, with prescriptive authority required; OR Active Delaware Physician Assistant License
  2. Delaware Controlled Substance Registration (CSR)& Federal DEA registration with Delaware Address
  3. Current certification as an Acute Care Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  4. Current AHA Healthcare Provider (HCP) Certification & PALS certification required.
