Position Overview
This role will work with the wider Finance team to ensure financial reporting accuracy and contribute to an effective internal control environment. The Management Accountant plays a critical role in the monthly close process by contributing over piloting the preparation of support for certain journal entries. The role will support broad company initiatives and interact with key internal and external stakeholders.
Duties
- Preparation of monthly Management Accounts and month end G/L trial balance for review.
- Preparation of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations for review.
- Preparation of Management Information and Analysis as required. Assist with budget queries and comparison of actual costs with budget
- Maintenance of the general ledger, including posting of journals, maintenance of prepayments, accruals, CoS and deferred income schedules. Resolution of any issues to ensure records remain accurate
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers and depreciation
- Assist on payment runs and bank reconciliations
- Manage Sales, WIP, Invoicing, Credit Control and Revenue recognition and maintain completeness and integrity of contract manager data. Prepare customer invoices in line with contracted terms. Actively chase debtors to ensure cash collected within payment terms
- Quarterly supplier reviews and maintenance of the approved supplier list. Ensuring new supplier forms are reviewed and approved in a timely manner
- Deal with and respond to customer and vendor queries in a prompt and timely manner
- Assist with the annual audit, local audit and statutory accounts
- Assist on VAT and Tax returns
- Additional duties as assigned from time to time by management
- Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment
Job Requirements
- Accountancy qualification or equivalent experience, strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail, strongly preferred
- Experience of working in a Data Center or Critical Infrastructure environment, preferred
- Experience in dealing with customer issues and problem solve
- English speaking is a must
- Able to plan, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft desktop and server operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office 365
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors and other service providers
- Work effectively in collaboration cross-functionally to achieve shared goals and deliver business objectives
