MULTIMEDIA INTERN

In this multimedia internship, you'll work with the Communications Manager to develop and execute engaging materials for Minitab’s Sharepoint intranet, while partnering with other departments on employee-related content for social media and recruiting.

This dynamic opportunity will teach you how to bring together text, graphics, digital animation, video, photography, audio, and virtual reality to create a wide range of multimedia products for our internal customer, the employees. You’ll perform support tasks and research to gather valuable insights on current trends, coordinate user experience surveys, and monitor site analytics.

You’ll learn how to use internal communication platforms such as Microsoft Sharepoint, while becoming a pro with the Microsoft 365 suite of products. Each week you’ll attend meetings, collaborate on new ideas and employee engagement initiatives, while working to enhance the overall employee experience.

EDUCATION

• Must be in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree in multimedia design, marketing, graphic design, information technology (or similar)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate and produce photo and video content for Sharepoint intranet and recruiting collateral; filming interviews, events, virtual tours, team photos, etc.
• Perform daily intranet site updates and news announcements 
• Create b-roll footage and liaise with media production partners from other departments
• Research internal communication trends and new Sharepoint features
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures, while adhering to various data protection and Information Security requirements 
• Plan events with the Community Involvement committee
• Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion, while fostering the Minitab corporate culture 
• Perform other duties as assigned 

EXPERIENCE 

• Proven experience in photography and videography (samples will be required) 
• Proven ability to write copy (writing sample will be required) 
• Strong photo, video and audio recording/editing skills; experience using Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro (or similar) 
• Strong proficiency in graphic design and creative software such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign (or similar) 
• HTML and/or Java Script not required, but a bonus if you have experience
• Must be creative with a passion for design; an eye for detail and final visual presentation 
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills 
• Strong organizational skills to plan projects and meet deadlines 
• Must be a team player with a positive, can-do attitude 
• Ability to use good judgement and make informed decisions
• Must be comfortable on video calls

 

This position is onsite at our State College, PA HQ, Remote work is not an option.
