Description

The William F. Connell School of Nursing at Boston College welcomes qualified applicants for a Full Professor in Nursing position.

This is one of the highest-levels of academic appointment with tenure at the Connell School of Nursing (CSON). The successful applicant will show scholarly productivity with extensive external research funding supporting digital health research from a nursing perspective, national and international leadership in this field, a strong record of journal publications, excellence in teaching and research mentoring, and demonstrated colleagueship needed to help lead the academic community within and across disciplines.

The candidate will be an individual who can bring vision and leadership in influencing policy and practice, particularly research connecting technological innovation with nursing practice to address health disparities and improve outcomes for underserved populations and mentoring faculty in the Connell School of Nursing and Boston College community. The CSON values faculty who can join our mission to prepare nurses and scholars whose practice and scholarship reflect a humanistic ethic and is scientifically based, technically competent, and highly compassionate. We seek an individual who is a life-long learner who will use knowledge in service to others.

Qualifications

Candidates must have a research-based terminal degree with an active program of research/scholarship.
