The Opportunity:
The College of Nursing at Washington State University Vancouver invites applications for a fixed-term, nine-month, 1 year appointment (with possibility of renewal), as an assistant professor, CT in the clinical sub track. We seek clinical track clinician, scholar and educator who hold(s) current certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). The candidate selected for this position will be on the faculty in the College of Nursing. Expected start date of employment is August 1, 2026.
The program at Washington State University Vancouver offers a:
1) RN to BSN completion program.
2) Master of Nursing (MN) program with tracks in Organizational Systems and Leadership and Nursing Education.
3) DNP program with specialization as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Duties:
Clinical faculty will be responsible for:
Teaching doctoral, masters, and/or undergraduate students.
Advising undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Serving as a clinical faculty evaluator with FNP students in their clinical settings.
Maintaining an ongoing program of clinical scholarship.
Disseminating scholarly findings.
Serving on graduate student committees.
Providing service to the department, College of Nursing, and university communities as well as the nursing profession.
Engaging with healthcare agencies to develop partnerships for FNP clinical placement opportunities.

Additional Information:
Annual Salary: $92,063
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A DNP or PhD by date of hire.
National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner and at least two years of full-time clinical practice as a family nurse practitioner.
Meet eligibility requirements for RN licensure and ARNP licensure with prescriptive authority in Washington State and Oregon, if not already licensed.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in teaching didactic and clinical courses and advising graduate and/or undergraduate nursing students.
Experience with technology assisted education modalities.
Demonstrate ability to utilize practice-based research studies to address salient nursing and health care issues.
Completion of nursing education coursework/certification.
Interdisciplinary/inter-professional collaboration in practice and/or education.
Current in their clinical practice.
Experience as a preceptor for FNP students.
