 Key Responsibilities:

Technology Transfer & IP Management

Support the TPIP manager in creating and executing the vision and strategic plan for the NNSS TT mission and associated programs.

• Work with TPIP manager to identify, protect, commercialize, and license NNSS-developed intellectual property.
• Utlize technical and business knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist and/or lead technical reviews for IP, commercial market analysis, and facilitate appropriate IP safeguards (e.g., NDAs, patents, copyrights).
• Administer IP-related financial awards, inventor royalty payouts, and royalty use programs.

Research & Development (R&D) Collaborations

• Work across different NNSS programmatic areas on the execution, tracking, and compliance of Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs), Agreements for Commercializing Technology (ACTs), and Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs) with non-federal entities.
• Support SDRD and programmatic technical staff by facilitating and monitoring R&D subcontracts with universities and industry partners including completion of statements of work, tracking subcontract progress and deliverables, and serving as subcontract technical representative.

Strategic Technical Services

• Provide oversight for technical journal and high-performance computing subcontract management, ensuring alignment with S&T priorities.
• Develop and maintain policies and procedures that support the broader R&D mission, in accordance with DOE/NNSA directives.
• Lead or mentor team members to solve unique challenges, promoting collaboration and high-impact results.
• Drive special projects and process improvements for the S&T Directorate, demonstrating initiative and executive acumen.
• Train and qualify as Derivative Classifier and/or Export Control Reviewing Official upon completion of DOE and MSTS requirements.

Compliance & Reporting

• Support SDRD program with Scientific and Technical Information identification, curation, review, and reporting requirements.
• Ensure adherence to the prime contract with DOE/NNSA technology reporting, fairness of opportunity practices, and TT data retention requirements.
• Prepare and submit required reports to DOE/NNSA Headquarters and the Office of Scientific and Technical Information.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 8 years of professional-level experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to meet deadlines and resolve complex issues.
