The Position

The Regional Security Manager US Ops position has responsibility for the development, implementation and management of security policies, standards, evaluations, roles and corporate awareness. The scope of this role includes, but is not limited to, all utilized security technologies and services, personal protection services, perimeter defenses, supply chain security, general investigations, security related compliance issues, physical and logical access control and profile management of all employees, contractors and visitors. This role will provide security support for all US operations, offices and facilities NN to ensure and support regional and global coordination alignment and mature security efforts across the US.

 

Relationships

This position reports to the US Security & Strategy Ops Director and will interact with the site security champions, facilities group, contract security force, security vendors, as well as various internal stakeholders. The manager develops networks internally and externally to influence and drive security initiatives.

 

Essential Functions

  • Support the Security Director’s efforts to develop an effective strategy to assess and mitigate risk, manage crises and incidents, maintain continuity of operations and safeguard employees and the organization
  • Identifies, develops, implements and maintains security processes, practices and policies throughout the Region to reduce risks, respond to incidents and limit exposure and liability in all areas of information, financial, physical, personal and reputational risk
  • Oversees incident response planning as well as investigation of security breaches
  • Supports supply chain security investigations and planning
  • Leads guard force contract management including KPI enforcement
  • Conducts risks assessments of offices, manufacturing and R&D sites
  • Researches and assists in the deployment of state-of-the-art technology solutions and innovative security management techniques to safeguard personnel and assets including intellectual property and trade secrets. Establishes appropriate standards and associated risk controls
  • Develops and sustains appropriate level relationships with officials in law enforcement, intelligence and other relevant governmental functions as well as private sector counterparts
  • Through relationships within NN and/or other external resources, coordinates and implements site security operations and activities to ensure protection of executives, managers, employees, customers, stakeholders and visitors as well as all physical and information assets. Ensures optimal use of personnel and equipment to achieve results
  • Briefs Director of Security and Site Leadership on the status of security issues and emerging threats
  • Assists sites with development of security budget and planning for security capital expenditures
  • Participates in crisis management,business continuity planning and training efforts
  • Capable of leading crisis response as needed
