Intern - Product & Process Excellence (Summer 2025)

As a Product and Process Excellence Intern, you will collaborate with our Production and Technical Services teams to create dynamic training materials for several manufacturing steps in our traditional cold-smoked salmon process.
What You Will Do At Acme:
• Create clear, user-friendly work instructions and training materials for cold-smoked salmon production steps.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including QA, Safety, and Production—to ensure process information is accurate, comprehensive, and aligned across departments.
• Use written instructions, photos, and videos to ensure materials are easy to understand and follow for frontline employees.
Your Education & Experience:
• Prefer a student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Development, Communications, Human Resources or Education.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
Your Skills & Abilities:
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience training teams and creating training materials is a plus.
• Experience with photo and video editing is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Work environment such as sitting on a computer working at a desk or prolonged periods of standing.
• Ability to work in cold (32 to 45F) and wet environment.
• Ability to lift 45lbs. at times.
Health & Safety Requirements:
• Observe and follow all safety rules.
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
• Report all incidents including near misses immediately.
