How you make a difference

As the Business Services Director, you will be the catalyst for maximizing the use and adoption of cutting-edge technologies across the company. You’ll take the lead in project management and relationship management, serving as the critical bridge between business operations and the IT Department.

 

In this role, you’ll be the advocate for the business within IT, ensuring that planning and execution align seamlessly with company priorities and business goals. Your strategic mindset and proactive approach will empower you to identify opportunities, take initiative, and execute with confidence—all with minimal guidance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion Business and Customer Needs: Immerse yourself in understanding business units, customers, and services, acting as their voice and advocate within the IT department. Build strong relationships through planning and engagement activities.
  • Establish Governance and Methodologies: Develop and maintain governance frameworks, project management methodologies, standards, and tools to ensure consistent, efficient, and risk-aware project delivery.
  • Drive Performance and Alignment: Monitor project and portfolio performance, aligning initiatives with business priorities, and provide regular updates to executive leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Facilitate Continuous Improvement: Conduct post-project evaluations to capture lessons learned, enhance processes, and improve future project outcomes.
  • Support Resource and Capacity Management: Assist managers in effectively allocating resources to meet business priorities and evolving customer needs, while supporting other company and departmental objectives as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • Preferred: Master’s degree

Experience: 

  • Required: Five (5) years of experience in project management office (PMO) leadership role
  • Preferred: Ten (10) years of experience in project management office (PMO) role

Certification:

  • Required: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
