The Novelis Fairmont, WV team is seeking Maintenance Supervisor. The Maintenance Supervisor is accountable for the daily direct supervision of the union craft employees and contract workers on maintenance repairs, modifications, services, and routine installation of equipment.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

· Accountable for the daily direct supervision of the union craft employees and contract workers on maintenance repairs, modifications, services, and routine installation of equipment.

· Schedule workers to complete vital work required within the plant while also preparing drawings, materials, and tools associated with specific work you will be leading.

· Apply the Novelis Safety Absolutes and Safety Principles to build a zero-injury culture

· Ensure that company policies and procedures are being performed by the team in order to ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations

· Responsible for crafting a training plan for new employees, evaluating employee performance, and counselling or scheduling additional training accordingly

· Develop and exercise techniques which expedite maintenance repair items on production equipment while making timely and accurate decisions as to equipment reliability and safety.

· Work multi-functionally to engineer solutions to repetitive machine failures and lead equipment upgrades to improve machine utilization rates.

· Provides additional support as required to the operation by performing other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

· High School Diploma

· Technical Degree or 5+ years of manufacturing experience

· 3+ years of validated leadership experience

· Robust overall knowledge of industrial equipment with prior hands-on experience

· Proficient in Computer Software – Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

· Ability to work evenings, weekdays, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Degree from an Accredited College

· 7+ years of manufacturing experience

· Experience in a union environment.
