Northrop Grumman, Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for an experienced business development leader to support Aeronautics Sector business and strategy objectives in Japan. This role is part of the NGAS Strategy and Growth (S&G) team located in Tokyo, Japan. The post-holder will report to the NGAS S&G International Business Development (BD) Senior Director in the U.S. The position will be the primary interface to Japanese customers and will support NGAS activities to enable growth in awards and market position. The ideal candidate for this role will have a deep understanding of the region and customer community. Additionally, the candidate will be an expert in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), Direct Customer Sales (DCS) and US Government policy to support export of military aircraft and equipment. The candidate will oversee the NGAS Japan office based in Tokyo and work closely with the collocated Corporate Global Business Development Office (CGBDO).
The successful candidate will effectively interface and cultivate strategic customer relations with current and potential Japanese customers. Additionally, the candidate will be able to effectively work with regional government authorities and industrial partners. The candidate will cultivate strategic relations with regionally based U.S. Government and Military leadership in support of NGAS business development efforts.
Key activities include customer engagement, market assessment, competitive assessment, product development, with a strong emphasis on capture, strategy and execution. Determining customer operational gaps and requirements and helping establish priorities to answer these gaps for international customers is crucial.
This position will require a deep understanding of U.S. and Japanese Defense, Government, and business practices, as well as Japanese Defense requirements generation, and acquisition lifecycles. The ability to articulate platform mission utility, and NGAS mission solution strategies is critical.

This position will be the senior BD representative for the NGAS S&G team in Japan and will have the overall regional responsibility for S&G
Supervision and management of the Sector BD Team in Japan, providing leadership, mentorship and overall team goals and objectives for S&G. Develop country-focused Training curriculum for BD and Capture Teams
Develop, Lead and coordinate the Japan S&G Objectives, to include the development of regional strategic plans and long-term growth objectives to support the overall NGAS Sector Strategy established by the NGAS Sector President
Act as the primary interface for information reporting and coordination between the Japan based team and NGAS senior leadership, the CGBDO and Senior level Cross Sector coordination between NGAS and the other NG Sectors on Japan focused efforts
