This is a 1-year post-graduate training program providing in-depth training and hands-on experience in both medical information and medical affairs.This fellowship prepares individuals to pursue a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Weekly responsibilities are split between Saint Joseph’s University (20%) and Kenvue (80%).
The fellow will successfully complete projects related to industry, the fellowship program, and teaching responsibilities.
It is expected that as the fellow progresses through the program, the individual will be able to practice with increasing levels of independence.

Fellowship Objectives
- Develop and cultivate core skills and competencies in analytical reasoning, critical and strategic thinking, problem solving, communication, influencing, and teamwork.
- Develop professional responsibility and enhance leadership presence.
- Enhance interpersonal communications with healthcare providers, strategic business partners, and consumers.
- Strengthen ability to critically evaluate, interpret, synthesize, and communicate scientific information.
- Instill knowledge of laws, compliance regulations, and guidance’s pertaining to medical and regulatory affairs
- Advance critical thinking skills through industry-based projects and cross-functional teamwork.
- Strengthen leadership and professionalism through participation in academic and industry initiatives.
- Apply and communicate clinical knowledge to projects and project teams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Industry-based Responsibilities:
Medical Information
- Collect, review, interpret and disseminate medical information pertinent to Kenvue's over-the-counter (OTC) product lines
- Develop core skills related to scientific exchange, medical materials development, customer communications, and medical content review
- Build relationships with internal and external business partners
- Improve scientific writing skills by authoring medical information response documents and escalated medical information requests
- Utilize critical thinking and clinical knowledge to develop fair and balanced communications of product information
- Improve verbal communication skills through delivery of scientific presentations and journal club presentations
- Participate in promotional review committee to ensure that data included are appropriately medically supported in promotional materials
Medical Affairs
- Participate on multifunctional medical team that includes: Regulatory Affairs, Medical & Drug Information, Global Medical Safety, Research & Development, Clinical Operations, and the North America Public Health teams
- Participate in innovative teams that aid in new consumer product development
- Participate in analysis and interpretation of clinical study data
- Learn how to identify and address potential medical issues and ensure implementation of risk-management strategies
- Participate in the development of medical strategies for company products
- Assist in the development of medical content for congresses, symposia, and advisory boards
- Provide medical support (medical training and education) to Marketing and Sales
Other Opportunities
- Mentor PharmD students completing their clerkship rotations (APPE & IPPE), provide development feedback and monitor & assess student performance in conjunction with the affiliated university
University-based Responsibilities:
- Completion of a one-year teaching certificate program with responsibilities for didactic and experiential teaching and a continuing education (CE) presentation for pharmacists
- Actively participate in professional development seminars and workshops designed to enhance professional
