What you will be doing in the role of a Manager, Community Health Programs 

The Manager, Community Health Programs is responsible for executing initiatives to achieve the greatest impact in providing patients’ access to high quality breast health care in the U.S. The Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of community health programs including community educational events, fostering partnerships and collaboration through coalition building and grants management. and other evidence-based interventions. 

What you will bring to the table 

• The primary objective of the Manager, Community Health Programs, is to support Susan G. Komen in achieving our overall Vision and Mission by:
• Managing programs to drive access to care and engagement with Komen’s mission for underserved communities or those living with aggressive or metastatic breast cancer.
• Identifying key stakeholders (individuals, organizations, coalitions, working groups, other entities, etc.) is important to advancing Komen’s strategic imperatives and supporting the coordination of stakeholder meetings and collaborations to ensure alignment and achievement of project goals.
• Managing assigned grants, service agreements or other partnerships, with a focus on fostering partnerships and collaborations. Reviews annual progress and financial reports, facilitates coalition-building opportunities, ensures deliverables are met.
• Designing and implementing community educational events, ensuring alignment of community events with Komen’s strategic imperatives and leveraging Komen’s educational resources, providing support to local execution and operations, monitoring budget and outcomes.
• Collaborating with Komen departments advisory committees, and community partners, using data from surveys and research to inform program.  
• Project management for special initiatives and projects that may be related to restricted funding opportunities or grantmaking or community education initiatives, ensuring implementation within scope and alignment with Komen’s mission and community health programming, with accountability for monitoring progress and meeting deliverables.
• Support the release of requests for applications/requests for proposals for community health programs and/or interventions and participates in the review process to identify and support the development of local partnerships and programs. Works with the Director to manage any issues; schedules and facilitates review meetings; and follows the process to initiate contracts.
• Identifying, cultivating, and maintaining relationships with external partners to support Komen’s strategic imperative to ensure all people get the care they need and achieve health equity. 
• With Director, work collaboratively with the development team and mission operations team to identify, cultivate, and secure funding for community health programs and ensure donor stewardship.
• Identifies and participates in cross-sectoral activities, events, meetings or other engagements in which key stakeholders are anticipated to attend. 
• Developing and delivering presentations, workshops, and speeches at coalition meetings, stakeholder engagements, and Komen events to advance community health initiatives.
• Promoting and demonstrating appropriate respect for cultural diversity and competency among coworkers and all work-related contacts.
