Our Opportunity 

North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Quality Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will coordinate the auditing criteria methods used to investigate activities involving material monitoring of NAL products and supplier materials for compliance to engineering drawings and specifications. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Your Priorities 

• Determines the type of monitoring and control systems necessary for maintaining on going quality. 
• Enforces company policies and procedures for monitoring inspection and non-conforming materials. 
• Monitors the work of the quality auditors’ to ensure that proper inspection and/or test methods are used during the audit process. 
• Performs incoming and outgoing inspection as required to prevent flowout. 
• Initiates investigations, containment activities, and problem analyses for suspected non-conforming products and materials identified during inspection process. 
• Leads continuous improvement teams. 

Requirements

Your Background 

HS Diploma or GED, plus 2 - 4 years of related experience in manufacturing, including experience in reading blueprints and using basic measuring instruments. 

Associate’s Degree in a related field, experience in automotive manufacturing, knowledge of customer/supplier relationships, and optical comparator, photometric testing, and electrical skills are preferred are preferred.
