Exterior Install Lead

Summary Description: 

The primary responsibility of the Exterior Install Manager is to lead a team of technicians to manage installations for Botanical Designs exterior landscape accounts in an efficient and organized manner. To ensure the highest level of services are provided, additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

1. Exceed client’s expectations by providing professional, courteous and efficient service at all times.
2. Maintain a positive, solution-oriented approach to service while communicating with team members.
3. Project a “good company image” at all times.
   • Ensure a professional appearance, good hygiene and a clean uniform
   • Use proper verbiage
4. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively by:
   • Wearing operational cell phones each working day. Report missing or malfunctioning cell phone to Supervisor ASAP.
   • Responding to voice mails ASAP
   • Highly safety oriented and report accidents, illnesses, or any other incidents to the Exterior Install Manager
   • Report necessary equipment, materials, or repairs to the Exterior Install Manager
5. Understand and uphold Exterior Department Quality Standards.
6. Is flexible and understands the importance of cooperation and teamwork.
7. Follow directions and guidance provided by Install Manager and Management Team.
   • Keep informed of changes to daily routine. 
   • Install plants per the direction of Management and look for details from Landscape Designer when needed.
   • Use proper planting techniques
   • Ensure tools are brought to the jobsite, tracked and cared for
8. Must drive a company vehicle. Valid WA driver’s license required.
9. Work vehicle maintenance:
   • Maintain clean vehicle at all times, ensuring interior and exterior cleanliness.
   • Remove personal items from vehicles daily (lunchboxes, cell phones, garbage, etc.).
   • Adhere to Company maintenance inspection policy.
   • Report all accidents (regardless of nature and severity) immediately.
10. Is aware of and concerned with the daily goals and expectations of the Install Manager. Effectively communicates with and has experience with managing installation technicians/laborers for landscape installation or construction projects.

• Ensure working hours, including overtime, have been recorded accurately and truthfully for each time period worked.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Ensure knowledge of appropriate safety and environmental revisions. Handle plants and tools with care, being concerned with safety and security. Immediately report safety concerns to Install Manager.
