About the role
Esler Companies - Renewal by Andersen is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Public Relations Intern to join our team. In this internship role, you will play a key part in supporting public relations efforts across multiple territories. As a PR Intern, you will assist in writing compelling copy, gathering information from various regions to craft press releases, building relationships with local and national PR partners, seeking media placement opportunities, and other tasks to support the People Team. Candidates should be prepared to submit writing samples.

Responsibilities
- Write and edit press releases, announcements, and other PR-related content.
- Gather information from various territories and departments to create cohesive PR materials.
- Assist in developing and maintaining relationships with local media outlets, journalists, and PR partners.
- Seek and pursue opportunities for media coverage and placement.
- Support PR campaigns and events to boost brand visibility.
- Monitor media coverage and report on PR campaign success.
- Update our website with relevant content as needed.
- Support the People Team with administrative tasks, including maintaining press lists and organizing media kits.
Qualifications
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling abilities.
- Ability to gather and synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with the media landscape and a passion for seeking out PR opportunities.
- Self-starter who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, and social media platforms.
- Experience with photo and video editing is a plus.
- Knowledge of AP style is a bonus.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Previous coursework, class projects, or relevant experience in public relations, communications, or journalism preferred.
