Title: Sr. Manager, NAR Demand & Inventory Planning, Brand Operations
Primary Purpose:
The Senior Manager, Demand & Inventory Planning role will support the North America Retail and Wholesale channels by developing pre-season merchandise financial plans at the department-class level, reforecasting through a monthly OTB process, and reporting on key metrics as part of brand-level integrated business planning activities. In addition, the Sr. Manager will be responsible for maintaining healthy levels of inventory for all carryover and evergreen SKUs and balancing inventory levels across the network through the execution of Buys. They will create and apply inventory policies in order to maintain the desired level of inventory for Coach North America Retail and Wholesale .
This role will report to the Senior Director, Demand & Inventory Planning and will be based in New York, NY.
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in merchandise or inventory planning to...
- Develop pre-season sales, margin, and inventory targets at the department level and by product lifecycle type (core/carry-over/newness)
- Optimize above business metrics in-season by reforecasting and flexing future receipts as needed
- Analyze historical data and current trend to manage risk and opportunity regarding product investments and inventory; monitor lateness and initiate expedites when warranted
- Execute buys for all carryover and evergreen SKUs
- Plan and manage inventory rebalancing across locations
- Supervise the identification/resolution of discrepancies within inventory
- Develop effective partnerships across the business at all levels from individual contributor to leadership through strength in presentation, communication, and influence
- Leverage partnerships with Business Unit (BU) and Merchandising in the management of product lifecycle and align BU bottoms-up sku plans with top-down merchandise plan targets
- Lead channel-specific monthly Demand and Inventory meetings as part of our Integrated Business Planning process to ensure alignment of targets across all relevant functions

The accomplished individual will possess...
- A College Degree, required
- 5+ years of experience in merchandise planning, inventory planning, finance, or other related area
- Courage to take ownership of their decisions and guide and push back in a diplomatic manner despite being faced with dissenting points of view
- Deep analytical and financial skills with strong brand, retail, supply chain, manufacturing, and overall business acumen
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Experience with MicroStrategy a plus
- Attention to detail; the ability to both “zoom in” and “zoom out” when dissecting the business
- The ability to flex in response to shifting priorities in an evolving work environment
- The ability to build impactful cross-functional relationships and collaborate productively with others
