GLOBAL BANKING AND MARKETS
The Franchise New Business Group “FNBG” is the central point of contact for all aspects of client on- boarding/account opening. FNBG team members are aligned with specific sales desks or clients and work closely with sales coverage, legal, credit risk, operations, compliance and clients to ensure an effective and smooth on-boarding process.
FNBG team members develop strong relationships with our institutional clients, which include asset managers, corporations, hedge funds and private equity. They are expected to play a key role in client relationship management and understanding dynamic changes in commercial demands of the business as well as grow subject matter expertise in onboarding and regulatory requirements. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial team with a passion for the markets, with individuals who thrive in fast-paced, changing environments, and are energized by a bustling trading floor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Owning and driving the onboarding process on behalf of the desk or working directly with clients, for all client types and products (Derivatives, and other repo, mortgage securities are most common)
· Use active discussions with Sales to manage the priority queue
· Drive internal and external negotiations and processes including ISDA and other trading agreements as well as account opening
· Develop in depth knowledge of all requirements needed such as AML, KYC & product to legal entity alignment
· Manage tight time lines for fund launches, market specific deadlines and trade dates
· Provide best-in-class client service during the F2B onboarding process
· Demonstrate a sound appreciation of new business policy, process requirements, and regulatory landscape
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s Degree
· Minimum of 1 year of client service/financial institution experience
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize projects
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong client service orientation
· General understanding of onboarding, KYC or regulatory requirements
· Prior experience in related onboarding functions (e.g. Due Diligence, Agreement negotiation) could be an asset
· Experience/knowledge with ISDA and other trading agreements, preferred but not required
