Job Title: Regional Sales Manager- West Coast

Department: Valor - Sales


Summary: The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for the growth in sales of all products offered by United Safety including but not limited to Valor Seating (Fire & EMS), Vehicle Safety Lock, Active Air Purification and Fogmaker Fire Suppression products. This position will be responsible and accountable for developing and managing relations with multiple market segment customers in their territories, understanding the market and their customer’s requirements, and demonstrating consistent closing techniques in securing orders in designated sales area with additional opportunities throughout the United States and Canada. 


 Responsibilities: As the Regional Sales Manager you will:

  • Achieve sales objectives by researching customers’ needs and providing solutions in a professional and effective manner. 
  • Identify and manage sales leads and prospects, assist customers in developing specifications utilizing products, and aid in contract negotiations to sell products in line with agreed business objectives. 
  • Establish and maintain industry and governmental contacts in an effort to further develop market penetration. 
  • Manage and report sales results, potential sales, customer feedback and activity plan as required and maintain forecast and customer contact through Salesforce CRM. 
  • Provide up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that impact target markets. 
  • Identify, select, and represent at industry specific trade shows and seminars as applicable.
  • Participate as a member in specific local trade and/or industry associations as appropriate.
  • Establish, maintain and grow customer base; arrange technical presentations, demonstrations and/or site visits. 
  • Manage customer relationships for all major accounts in the assigned market and provide answers to pre-sales technical and commercial queries, superior customer service, and product training. 
  • Collect customer feedback and market research; assist in development of marketing and sales strategies to be consistent with the overall goals and objectives of the business. 
  • Maintain industry, product and competitor knowledge and inform United Safety of changing market conditions, product issues and competitive issues.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships, as well as regionally with OEM’s, dealers and customers.
  • Work with customer service to assist with issues concerning delivery, installation and warranty.
  • Manage time and resources effectively to meet sales objectives; effectively schedule trips for travel which will be required a minimum of 60% of the time. 
  • Observe all company rules and safety practices. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

You’re a great fit for this position if this describes you;

  • Bachelor’s degree in business/Operations or another related field, or equivalent sales experience.
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in the sales and marketing of products in the First Responder Market.
  • Able to clearly articulate and achieve goals through quick and decisive actions while possessing self-confidence required for being assertive when taking a position. 
  • Proficient in current computer software: MS Applications Word, Excel, and understanding of ERP systems.
  • Highly proficient in Salesforce and/or similar CRM.
