THE ROLE
Our Higginsville Processing team is seeking an experienced Processing Superintendent to lead safe and efficient plant operations. As a back-to-back for the Processing Manager, there will be a requirement to provide coverage as the Alternate SSE when needed.
- Assist in development and implementation of mill production plans and targets.
- Monitor and improve plant performance and reliability.
- Drive business-critical processing, maintenance and metallurgy projects and initiatives.
- Provide leadership of the production and technical teams.
- Develop, coach and mentor process operational teams.
- Collaborate with your team to develop and maintain efficient and productive processes across the plant.
- Promote a high level of safety awareness, lead from the front and by example.
- Provide ongoing coverage as the alternate Processing Manager during absences from site as required.
- Liaise with Contractors and Stakeholders as required.
WHAT DO I NEED
- Current “C” Class Manual Western Australian driver’s licence
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role effectively leading and managing a Processing team within a metalliferous processing plant (gold, nickel, copper, lithium)
- Tertiary Qualification in Metallurgy, Processing, or related discipline (desirable)
- Extensive experience in gold processing and preferably exposure to complex ore processing.
- S26 Statutory Supervisor Certificate
- Knowledge of Mines Safety and Inspection Act
- Experience in 3 and 4 stage crushing plants
- Experience in Sag/Ball Mill Operations
- Experience with SCADA systems (CITECT) and proprietary PLC systems
- Experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as Pronto (desirable)
- Proficient Microsoft office skills
- Proven leadership and team building skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks
- A can-do, team-oriented attitude
- Desire to maintain a proactive safe working environment
