Job Title: Revenue Cycle Clerk (Part-Time) Department: Revenue Cycle Reports To: Director of Revenue Cycle FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Schedule: Part-Time, Monday–Friday, Flexible Hours Pay Range: $17.00 – $18.50 per hour Work Location: Remote (per Remote Work Policy)

Position Summary

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle, the Revenue Cycle Clerk supports the accurate and timely maintenance of electronic medical records within the billing system. This entry-level role provides clerical and operational support across Revenue Cycle functions, including Electronic Patient Records, Revenue Cycle Operations, and Pre-Service, contributing to efficient billing processes and organizational revenue goals.

This role is well-suited for employees seeking to grow their experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations while working a flexible, part-time schedule.

Essential Job Functions

· Perform daily digital uploads of electronic patient medical records and demographic information into the billing system.

· Reconcile assigned records and data to identify and resolve discrepancies.

· Provide clerical and operational support to Revenue Cycle departments as needed.

· Respond to internal and external inquiries with professionalism and timeliness.

· Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, business, personnel, and practitioner information in accordance with HIPAA and organizational policies.

· Represent Surgical Affiliates professionally in all interactions.

· Complete additional reconciliations, data maintenance, and related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Minimum two (2) years of experience in a healthcare environment in a relevant role.

· Working knowledge of healthcare billing processes and compliance requirements.

· Basic to intermediate knowledge of medical coding principles and CPT codes.

· Proficiency with health information systems and MS Office (Word, Excel).

· Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical skills.

· Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

· Commitment to professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.

· Ability to comply with the Remote Work Policy.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

· Frequent sitting; occasional standing and walking.

· Occasional lifting of office equipment.

· Vision, hearing, and finger dexterity required for computer and phone work.

· Remote work environment with varying conditions.
