GEICO is on a multi-year journey to re-platform the Insurance industry, removing friction across
Customers, Partners, Marketplace, Segments, Channels, and Experiences. GEICO is looking to bring on board a Director, Tech Business Ops. This Director will collaborate with technology partners on high priority projects. A key priority will be to define and lead operational excellence across all of GEICO’s technology organization, while partnering with executive leadership and communicating regularly to ensure operational priorities are aligned with strategic company goals.
Responsibilities:
· Will work with Technology to partner across various functions (product, design, business, etc.) to ensure alignment and accountability.
· Partner with other pillars outside service to drive horizontal deliveries
· Closely aligned with the Head of Data Engineering to help synthesize information and provide strategic recommendations.
· Promote AI first mindset across service roadmap and influence initiatives and roadmaps accordingly
· Defines and executes Technology OKRs and technical business reviews.
· Collaborates with business operations on company-wide OKRs and QBRs.
· Manages and drives improvement to processes for product planning, QBRs, finance metrics, cloud cost and headcount management.
· Develops long and short-term plans for adding capabilities, enhancing existing systems, and providing improvements.
· Seeks out opportunities for system expansions, company growth and operational efficiencies.
· Manages small team of project planners including recruiting, hiring and developing talent.
· Manages, directs, and assures a positive work environment for technical teams including human resource management, establishing career paths, training, hiring, and talent management processes.
· Responsible for coordinating and follow up to ensure that initiatives meet our approved budget, timeline, service reliability, quality standards, objectives, and the strategic plan.
· Drives data driven culture, rigor, and mindset
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in technology, business, operations, or related field degrees or work experience.
· 8+ years of experience in operations.
· Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of successfully leading and executing projects.
· Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messages for diverse audiences.
· Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and guide stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
· Experience managing and developing a high-performing team.
Annual Salary
$150,000.00 - $300,000.00The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
