Summary:

Evaluates and treats patient populations for physical therapy needs.

Responsibilities:

Educates and counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and progress. Provides information regarding appropriate selection and use of adaptive equipment and support resources.Designs and implements a plan of care which includes frequency and duration of planned treatment and is appropriate to issues identified.Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.Plans or assists with patient discharge from therapy services.Supervises activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
