Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Supply Chain Merchant Support Manager to join our Merchant Import Operations team. This position will serve as the key liaison between the legal regulatory compliance team and the merchant organization, overseeing critical supply chain processes and driving improvements in logistics and vendor relations.
The Supply Chain Merchant Support Manager will be responsible for a range of duties, including updating and maintaining shipping manuals and compliance standards, managing container integrity, analyzing mark out of stock (MOS) trends, and supporting transportation and distribution center (DC) projects.
The role requires a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the legal department, vendor relations, international transportation, and merchant partners, to streamline operations, enhance vendor performance, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Out-of-Stock (MOS) Analysis & Resolution:
- Perform a comprehensive analysis of mark out of stock (MOS) occurrences across the supply chain, identifying key areas where MOS is happening.
- Develop regular reporting and analysis to track MOS trends, including identifying specific pain points in the supply chain process.
- Assess inner vs. outer packaging processes, identifying opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
- Analyze in-store opportunities related to packaging and shipping that may impact MOS.
Supply Chain Special Projects and Process Improvement:
- Lead special projects aimed at improving the buyer experience with transportation and DC handling processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies and implement solutions.
- Partner with MPA and Vendor Relations to streamline supply chain merchant support operations.
- Monitor and continuously improve the handling of cartons, container integrity, and packaging to ensure product quality, minimize damage, and reduce costs.
Vendor and Product Compliance:
- Establish and enforce standards for new products, ensuring compliance with both internal and external regulations.
- Maintain vendor manual standards to ensure all suppliers meet the company’s requirements for packaging, shipping, and product handling.
- Work closely with vendor relations and international transportation to ensure vendors are aligned with shipping, regulatory compliance, and packaging standards.
- Collaborate with the finance and global logistics team to ensure competitive and compliant delivery and payment terms for all vendors and partners.
Liaison with Legal Team:
- Act as the single point of contact for communication between the legal team and merchants.
- Bridge legal requirements with merchant activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards, shipping regulations, and compliance frameworks.
- Maintain and update the Bamboo Rose (BR) housing for CTPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism), Social Compliance, license agreements and other regulatory standards.
Scope and Impact:
- The Supply Chain Support Manager will play a critical role in driving operational efficiency, compliance, and process improvements within the Merchant Import Operations team. By serving as the key liaison between the legal team and merchants, this role ensures that shipping, packaging, and vendor standards align with compliance requirements.
- The manager will oversee the analysis and resolution of mark out of stock (MOS) issues, helping to identify and address inefficiencies in the supply chain.
- This role will lead special projects focused on improving the buyer/vendor experience with transportation, distribution center handling, and packaging integrity, contributing to reduced costs, optimized operations, and enhanced product quality.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
