About the role

THE JOB:

It is the primary responsibility of the Maintenance Engineer to maintain and repair all equipment, as well as support daily operations and assigned activities.  Additionally, you will be tasked with providing administrative and technical assistance as directed by department management. 

THE STARTING PAY RATE:  $32.09 / Per Hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Maintaining and repairing all equipment related to the successful operation of boilers, compressors, refrigeration equipment, generators and all equipment that is driven by steam, electricity, gas, air, diesel, water or any other power developing energy which has to do with or is related to the operation of all mechanical equipment
  • Inspect, maintain, and repair ride systems and auxiliary equipment
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and hydraulic problems on ride systems and auxiliary equipment
  • Complete work orders
  • Walk daily routes and make necessary repairs
  • Perform other job-related duties as requested

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge and ability to use common electrician tools, such as wire strippers and cutters, screwdrivers, pliers, voltage testers, multimeters and, hand power tools
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, such as but not limited to: Amp Meters, Voltmeters, OHM meters, compound gauges and pressure gauges
  •  Ability to work from blueprints and schematics, and interpret manufactures guidelines for the operation and maintenance of theme park and related equipment
  • General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, money handling
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must currently hold a valid Nevada Driver’s License
  • Must currently hold or be able to obtain an Alcohol Awareness card
  • High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Electrical Technician Certification
  • Experience and proficiency in electrical work, encompassing wire installation and camera set up
  • Experience working in a similar resort setting
