Scope of Position

The Nursing Program Manager will organize and coordinate the day-to-day operations for the Behavioral Economic & Staffing Strategies to Increase Adoption of the ABCDEF Bundle in the ICU (BEST-ICU) Grant.  Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, the Program Manager will work with the Physician and Pulmonary Advance Practice Provider to coordinate day-to-day activities, provide education about incidental nodules to providers and patients, track and coordinate ongoing patient care, and collect and report project outcomes.  In the performance of these assigned duties, The Nursing Program Manager will assure adherence to protocols, procedures and program plans.   The Nursing Program Manager will assist in the care coordination of population groups or programs within the James Critical Care programs to optimize patient care, safety, and operational efficiency.

Position Summary

The Nursing Program Manager functions as an integral part of the James Critical Care Department. The Nursing Program Manager will use expertise to provide overall program management of the BEST-ICU study, manage multiple data elements associated with the unit, assure quality and regulatory requirements are met, and provide consultation and education on the BEST-ICU and program.  The Nursing Program Manager develops, aligns, and operationalizes the clinical, academic, and research activities to support the overall Cancer Program goals and to ensure the implementation of key OSUCCC-The James initiatives through interdisciplinary collaboration by working with the Critical Care Clinical Trials Group.

Required Education

 Graduate of accredited school of nursing.  BSN , licensed to practice nursing in the state of Ohio.

Desired Education

Masters prepared strongly preferred.
