About the Job:
The Control Analyst, Pizza Hut U.S., is responsible for administering accounting and reporting for technology initiatives within the market and drives impact across the Brand through analysis of trends and forecasts as we continue to place an emphasis on the use of technology to drive our business forward. Salary Range: $78.5k – $90k annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Responsibilities
Period Responsibilities (65%)
- Ensure appropriate application of GAAP and YUM! Accounting Policies for PH Connect and Digico accounting preparing journal entries, calculating and providing expenses to the PH teams.
- Prepare and review various PH Connect, Digico and property related account reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of PH Connect and Digico standalone financial statements on a period basis.
- Ensure appropriate application of GAAP and YUM! Accounting Policies for property accounting which includes fixed costs (i.e. depreciation and retirements) as well as facility actions including closed store accounting (i.e. held-for-sale accounting, asset impairment, lease reserves and ongoing facility costs), refranchising and acquisitions for all PH U.S. entities (PH U.S., Digico, Connect and Adcom).
- Analyze period activity against prior period, prior year, forecast or other measures if material variances exist.
Quarter Responsibilities (20%)
- Perform quarterly software reviews with the PH U.S. Finance, PH U.S. Control and Project Costing teams to determine if software is no longer in service.
- Prepare quarterly and annual schedules for PH U.S. in HFM to ensure timely and accurate submission to YUM! External Reporting including PP&E rollforward, software, unit count, etc.
- Prepare PH U.S. Controller’s deck pages including PP&E, software, other intangibles, etc.
Other Responsibilities (15%)
- Coordinate requests for fixed assets, depreciations, closed store reserves and asset impairment information from external auditors and internal customers.
- Prepare annual long-lived asset impairment analysis, including cash flow modeling for store level assessments where necessary.
- Ad-hoc analysis and modeling using JDE/Reports Now and HFM
- Perform SOX control testing, as needed.
- Assist with special projects, as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- B.S. in Accounting or B.S. in Finance if candidate has significant accounting experience.
- 2+ years accounting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience
Preferred Requirements
- Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management and JDE
- Public accounting firm or public company corporate accounting experience
- CPA or active CPA candidate
