What You Will Do:

You will be part of the Commercial Engine Engineering Maintenance Data and Services Engineering (CEE MDSE) team who are responsible for providing system support services as it relates to the creation and sustainment of technical publications for Pratt & Whitney commercial engines. The team has responsibility for software application support and development, system requirement definition, publishing of content, and digital data deliveries for the Maintenance Data and Services Engineering (MDSE) organization. The team plays a critical role in ensuring the organization has the proper tools and applications in place to meet program milestones and delivery requirements. The technical publication products produced by the MDSE organization are used by over 2,000 global airline customers, Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) shops and aircraft manufacturer to maintain, overhaul, and repair engines on-wing and in a shop environment.

In this role, the Senior Systems Integrator will assume a combination of developer, operational support, project manager and business analyst responsibilities while working with our customers, partners, and the CEE MDSE team to support existing publications systems, continued automation of publishing systems and deliver new solutions to meet the growth of existing and new maintenance data needs for legacy and GTF programs. This position will manage the delivery of XML/SGML technical data to airframers, airlines, and MRO shops to ensure a seamless digital data thread.

They will collaborate with other CEE MDSE software engineers, IT staff, and 3rd party software providers to provide technical support of change management, content management, and publishing systems as well as reporting and analytics solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement new systems and system enhancements that support our business objectives and improve the publication experience for our customers

  • Manage and develop business level project plans for publication systems changes.

  • Monitor active projects to ensure successful execution of project plans by anticipating and mitigating risks.

  • Participate in all phases of projects (scoping, requirements definition, design, development, test, and deployment).

  • Aid in the development of business processes supporting the digital data thread within CEE MDSE.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in MDSE systems.

  • Provide support for technical publication authoring and digital data distribution systems.

  • Participate in on-going development and maintenance of the MDSE Strategic Technology Plan.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline. Equivalent work experience may be considered.

  • Strong project management skills required, and experience interacting with internal and external customers is required.

  • 8+ years’ experience required in Information Technology and/or Technical Publications or 5yrs with an advanced degree

  • The ability to work independently and within a team with excellent analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong communications skills are a plus.

  • Familiarity with ATA2200 and/or S1000D digital data standards
