SUMMARY OF POSITION


 

The Accounting Intern will support the accounting team with general ledger activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and the monthly close process.  The Accounting Intern will provide hands-on experience in accounting and financial reporting for manufacturing facilities. 

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
Assist with general ledger maintenance, including preparing and posting journal entries
Support monthly and quarterly year-end close processes
Help prepare financial reports and supporting schedules
Assist in maintaining accurate accounting records and documentation
Serve as a partner to the accounting team in developing and following processes and procedures
Maintain organized financial documentation and electronic filing systems
Help prepare documentation for audits or internal reviews
Compile financial data for management reports

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):


 


Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably focused on Accounting or Finance
An energetic team player who enjoys working collaboratively
A self-motivated individual who is competitive yet open to learning and feedback
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication abilities
High emotional intelligence and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data organization
