Job Title: Senior Living Activities Director

Location: Sarasota, FL

We are excited to announce an opening for the position of Senior Living Activities Director at our community in Sarasota. As the Senior Living Activities Director, you will be responsible for enhancing the lives of our seniors by providing top-notch entertainment and activities that promote socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation. 

Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive activities program that meets the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive needs of our seniors

- Schedule and coordinate a variety of activities, events, and outings that are engaging and enjoyable for our residents

- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure that activities are integrated into the overall care plan for each resident

- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of activity assistants to ensure that activities are delivered in a professional and compassionate manner

- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback to continually improve the activities program

- Ensure that all activities are conducted in a safe and respectful manner, adhering to all community policies and procedures

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy, Gerontology, or related field preferred

- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a senior living activities role

- Strong leadership and organizational skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and community partners

- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a passion for enhancing the lives of seniors
