Collaborate with engineering, product, QA and sales teams to drive the platform innovation and modernization.</p><p><span><b>This job is a hybrid role with at 3 days in the office per week</b></span><span><b>, which you can perform from our offices in Krakow and Gdansk.</b></span></p><p></p><p><span><b>Responsibilities:</b></span></p><p></p><p><b>D</b><b>atabase Design and Architecture</b></p><ul><li>Design and implement scalable, performant and highly available distributed database solutions</li><li>Collaborate with peers across scrum teams to design and deliver database design conforming to database best practices and meet business and application requirements</li><li>Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of database design, data models, configurations, and processes</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Database Development and optimization</b></p><ul><li>Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and script to support application development</li><li>Optimize performance through indexing, SQL query optimization, and other database tuning techniques</li><li>Monitor database performance metrics, analyze and identify bottlenecks, and recommend short-term and long-term solutions</li><li>Collaborate with engineering teams to define performance test strategy, and develop toolsets to generate synthetic datasets for effective and repeatable performance tests</li><li>Implement and manage database security, including access controls, encryption, and auditing</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Database Administration</b></p><ul><li>Collaborate with production DBA team to troubleshoot and resolve database production issue in timely manner</li><li>Monitor and maintain database health to ensure data integrity, availability, and disaster recovery</li><li>Perform database installation, configuration, and upgrades in lower environments</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Collaboration and Leadership</b></p><ul><li>Provide thought leadership on the topic of database technologies and data modeling within and beyond the team’s scope of responsibility</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, SaaS Operation, support, and implementation, to ensure seamless integration of database systems</li><li>Provide technical mentorship to junior database engineers</li></ul><p></p><p><span><b>Qualifications:</b></span></p><p></p><p><b>What we are looking for</b></p><ul><li>10+ years of professional software engineering experience with enterprise applications backed with RDBMS databases or Snowflake</li><li>10+ years of experience as a Database Architect or in a similar role supporting enterprise applications</li><li>Extensive hands-on experience in RDBMS and distributed data platforms as a database developer</li><li><span>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to troubleshoot and resolve database related issues</span></li><li><span>Proficiency in SQL performance tuning in MS SQL Server, Oracle, or Snowflake</span></li><li>Strong track record of building high performance, production quality software on schedule</li><li>Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt quickly to changes</li><li>Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Nice To have</b></p><ul><li>Expert experience with hardware sizing and configuration, operating systems, scripting, and database technologies</li><li><span>Experience in NoSQL databases is preferred</span></li><li><span>Experience with cloud database services such as Azure SQL Database or AWS RDS is a plus</span></li><li>A minimum of 7 years working with an Agile development methodology stron
