<p><strong>About the Team </strong></p> <p>STR Sensors Division is at the forefront of developing advanced signal processing algorithms and prototyping systems for next-generation radar and electronic warfare technologies. The group fosters a culture of innovation and collaboration. You will be a member of a dynamic group of research engineers across STR, academic researchers, and industry partners to develop practical and effective solutions to RF sensing and counter-sensing challenges.</p> <p><strong>The Role</strong></p> <p>The Space Mission Sector is seeking a Software Developer to join our growing technology company in the Boston area. Candidate will support a multitude of programs with a range of system capabilities and maturity level. System capability will be tested over the air locally and at government test locations. Strong technical, interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills are desired.</p> <p>As Lead Software Developer, you will work with a team to design, implement, and test systems software for advanced real-time signal processing applications for sonar, radar, electronic warfare (detection, protection, jamming, and spoofing).</p> <p><strong>What you will do:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work with STR team to understand capability requirements, brainstorm solutions, and evaluate the pros and cons of each to inform decisions</li> <li>Develop and implement embedded systems software for advanced real-time signal processing applications</li> <li>Potential travel to customer meetings and/or data collections and experiments is expected</li> </ul> <p><strong>Who you are: </strong></p> <ul> <li>This position requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret security clearance, for which U.S. citizenship is required by U.S. Government, and eligible to support special access programs</li> <li>Experience developing software with GNU/Linux toolchains using open source software</li> <li>Proficient in C, C++, or similar real-time embedded programming languages</li> <li>Comfortable using Python and/or MATLAB programming languages</li> <li>Experience with firmware languages such as VHDL and/or Verilog</li> <li>Experience with software tools including Integrated Development Environments (IDEs), version control, tracking, scripting, and break-point debugging</li> <li>Working knowledge of software design patterns and best practices</li> <li>Understanding of software-hardware interfacing techniques and implementations</li> <li>Enthusiasm to learn new skills and a desire for developing software</li> <li>BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics
