We're excited to continue solidifying that foundation as we are looking for an Accounting Associate to join our growing Accounting and Finance department in Atlanta, GA!

The Accounting Associate will join our accounting team in our Wholesale Division, Bridge Specialty Group. Reporting to the Accounting Leader, you'll be responsible for carrier reconciliations, and transactions, collecting and posting payments, and processing insurance company payables in a timely manner. You'll interact with retail agents, careers, banking institutions and our accounting teammates.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Performs Accounts Receivables daily functions to include processing agent payments, finance company payments and notices, client refunds, resolving agent disputes and reconciling agent statements for Bridge Specialty Insurance Brokerage region.

  • Process insurance company payables and vendor payables daily functions including client refunds, issuing vendor checks, expense report checks, insurance company payable checks, resolving carrier disputes and reconciling carrier statements

  • Produce monthly reports and reconciliations.

  • Investigate accounting issues in accounts and solve issues.

  • Minimize aged accounts and keep the AR Credits over 90 days list minimum.  

  • Minimize aged accounts and keep the AR over 59 days list minimum.

  • Minimize aged accounts and keep the payable over 120 days list minimum.     

  • Provides clear and thorough documentation of all reconciliations and payments.

  • Assists the accounting team with bank/GL transactions.

  • Assists with gathering information for audits.

  • Participate actively in team efforts to achieve departmental and agency goals.

  • Assist with special projects.

  • Other Duties as Assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two (2)-year college or technical school; or

  • Six (6) months or more related experience and/or training; or

  • Equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
