Summary
The Program Manager oversees the full lifecycle of the MAP cohorts across multiple regions, providing strategic leadership, operational coordination, and high-quality participant support. This role manages program planning, curriculum delivery, and cross-functional collaboration while cultivating strong relationships with instructors, coaches, partners, and community stakeholders. The Program Manager ensures participants receive comprehensive guidance from onboarding through post-cohort follow-up, maintains accurate data, executes key events, supports recruitment and program budget, and manages Program Development, Program Implementation, Program Management, and Programmatic and Financial Compliance.
Program Management
- Delivers ACE (Amazing Customer Experience) to all internal and external customers.
- Acts as an ambassador of Palmetto Goodwill and our I-CARE (Integrity, Collaboration, Attitude, Respect, Excellence) values.
- Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of all MAP cohorts across multiple regions.
- Develop annual program calendars, timelines, and milestone schedules for cohort activities.
- Manage participant onboarding, eligibility verification, communication, and engagement throughout the program.
- Provide individualized guidance and connect participants with coaching, resources, mentorship, and wraparound supports, including structured follow-up after program completion.
- Facilitate pitch preparation, including video pitch sessions, feedback on pitch development, and ensuring readiness for cohort pitch events.
- Coordinate instructors to ensure curriculum content is effective, delivered consistently, and meets participant and programmatic needs.
- Implements and supports innovation solutions to supporting program graduates as they scale their businesses” and promotes innovative solutions to other partners in the business development ecosystem
Partner & Stakeholder Engagement
- Serve as the primary liaison to program partners, business coaches, funders, chambers, and local business networks.
- Build new partnerships to expand the entrepreneurial ecosystem and strengthen MAP’s regional footprint.
Reporting & Compliance
- Track participant enrollment, attendance, assignment completion, business metrics, program outcomes, and long-term impacts, maintaining accurate documentation throughout the program
- Prepare comprehensive reports and deliver program updates to leadership and funders, utilizing data and stakeholder feedback to guide program enhancements and ensure quality standards.
- Support budget development and monitoring, ensuring responsible use of funds; manage purchasing requests, invoices, and vendor payments.
Event Planning & Execution
- Plan and manage logistics for graduations, pitch events, and information sessions.
- Collaborate with Marketing & Engagement team to promote events and highlight participant achievements.
Collaboration & Recruitment
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to increase program visibility and attract entrepreneurs.
- Collaborate across departments to support seamless program operations and organizational alignment.
Qualifications
- Enthusiasm for the mission of the organization.
- Proven record of experience, high achievement, and success in the fields of program development, program implementation, program management, and programmatic and financial compliance.
- Read and interpret complex documents, such as grant contracts, safety rules, program requirements, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, etc.
- Research from various sources (including internet); gather and analyze data as it relates to program development, program implementation, program management, training requirements, compliance guidelines, etc.
- Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Write reports and correspondence.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations, including: addition; subtraction; multiplication; division in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Multi-task effectively; set priorities; be able to adjust to frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events; be flexible and/or adaptable as work requirements change.
