We are a higher education online course provider seeking an experienced Product Manager, Infrastructure to spearhead the development and management of our internal administrative products and infrastructure projects. This role involves a deep understanding of technical systems, a passion for improving internal processes, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects that enhance our operational excellence.
While this is a mostly remote role - we like to bring people together in person from time to time. We are looking for candidates based in the Washington DC/Baltimore metro area who are able to come into our Arlington, VA office once or twice a month. The target start date for the position is January.

Responsibilities

  • Product Roadmap: Develop and execute a strategic plan for technology platforms, tools, and infrastructure, aligning with the company’s overall objectives and operational needs.
  • Project Management: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, IT, Operations, Finance, HR, and other departments to identify process improvement opportunities and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical expert in the planning and deployment of systems and platforms, including but not limited to internal systems, custom software platforms, and SaaS products. .
  • Process Optimization: Analyze and redesign existing internal processes to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and user satisfaction.
  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate project status, risks, and achievements to all stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with software vendors and service providers, ensuring contractual compliance and ROI on technology investments.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Utilize analytics to measure the performance of internal tools and infrastructure, and make data-informed decisions for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product management, specifically with a focus on internal/enterprise technology solutions.
  • Proven track record of managing complex technical projects, from conception to deployment.
  • Deep understanding of software development processes, IT infrastructure, and system integrations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with agile and traditional project management methodologies.
