The Boeing Space & Launch Division's Global Satellite Configuration and Control Equipment (GSCCE) program is looking for Systems Engineers, Lead or Senior, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

The Boeing Space, Intelligence & Weapon Systems (SI&WS) Division's GSCCE program is seeking motivated, goal-achieving, and team-oriented systems engineers to update, upgrade, and develop an updated and modernized global military satellite communications (MILSATCOM) ground system that will manage the WGS Payloads for all F1-F12 satellites — for the Boeing-built Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) satellites.

The successful candidate will work closely with Systems Engineering aligning the software product testing and verification approach to ensure quality, reliability, and functionality. Advises on the set up and configuration of test environments, including hardware, software, and network configurations to replicate production environments. Leads executing test cases and scenarios to verify functionality, performance, and safety of software systems, identifying and reporting defects, issues, and potential vulnerabilities found during testing processes. Leads developing and maintaining automated test scripts

Position Responsibilities:

  • Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify a lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions for Communications Satellites Command and Control architectures, platform development, and network infrastructure.

  • Evaluates customer and operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces.

  • Conducts technology trade studies, identifies evaluation criterions, and cost/technology feasibility analysis.

  • Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.

  • Performs analyses for mission performance, affordability, reliability, maintainability, testability, systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, and, product assurance.

  • Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.

  • Resolves cross-functional technical issues.

  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

  • Lead, Level 4: Typically, 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

  • Senior, Level 5: Typically, 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.

  • Knowledge of Model-based Systems Engineering, process and tools

  • 5+ years of related work experience OR 3+ years of related work experienc
