The Position
Governs and/or coordinates project and program management services for enterprise digital, data and automation acceleration. Leads, develops and delivers effective program delivery via project prioritization and implementation oversight. Aligns with companys short-term and long-term planning cycles.
Relationships
The role reports directly to the VP of DD&IT and sits on the DD&IT LT. Due to the cross-functional nature of the enterprise program the individual will partner closely with key workstream leaders, VP program owners and ET level StC.
This position requires frequent senior management (ET & LT) interaction, leadership, and collaboration. Individual will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders in Finance and Operations, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Compliance, Business Services.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the oversight and lead for the successful planning and execution of the digital program and project plan development for enterprise digital acceleration including prioritizing projects, implementing innovative solutions and managing change to boost business impact and operational efficiency
- Develop and lead maintenance of integrated project plans (options development, risks management, opportunities identification, timing) that reflect the approved balance of scope, time and resources
- Demonstrates strong consultative and project management skills
- Lead identification and articulation of benefits, synergies between projects and risk/dependencies
- Led, communicate and drive project objectives and actions cross-functionally through all applicable stakeholders
- Ensure relevant reporting and follow up on progress
- Identify risks to project execution, schedule or scope and facilitate the mitigation of those risks with the appropriate teams
- Develop model for identification, prioritization and governance of large-scale, cross-organizational projects and initiatives
- Strong ability to solicit, understand and document business requirements processes and workflows and translate into process design and development
- Guide and coach PMO team to ensure superior project management on all PMO-owned initiatives
Physical Requirements
Approximately 15-20% overnight travel.
Development of People
Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process.
Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility.
Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in either digital transformation, project management, general management or business development.
- Graduate Degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years of experience, when appropriate
- Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in digital or data transformation
- Significant and robust project management skills
- Ability to secure timely execution of agreed actions
- Proven track record in effective cross-functional leadership and collaboration
