Title: Community and Youth Sports Program Coordinator
Location: Bronx N.Y
Reports: Director of Partnerships
Pay Range: $35.71 - $35.71 ($65,000 – $65,000 per year)
FLSA Classification: Non- Exempt
Status: Full time (35 hours per week)
Role Summary: The Community and Youth Sports Program Coordinator manages the Youth Sports & Recreation programming, with a primary focus on coordinating baseball clinics, leagues, and community-based athletic activities for children and teens. This role also supports broader community engagement efforts, including outreach events, partnerships, and educational programming. The ideal candidate is passionate about youth development, community programming, and fostering positive, safe, and inclusive recreational environments.
Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:
· Coordinate all aspects of youth sports and recreation programming, with a primary focus on baseball clinics and league activities, including planning sessions, managing logistics, supervising activities, supporting coaches, and ensuring a positive environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship.
· Manage operations for youth baseball leagues, including team registration, scheduling, communication with families, equipment coordination, game‑day support, and adherence to safety and program standards.
· Assist in fundraising initiatives that support youth sports and recreation programs, including identifying potential donors or sponsors, soliciting in‑kind donations (equipment, uniforms, refreshments), and working with leadership to develop program‑specific funding opportunities.
· Plan, organize, and support community outreach events, workshops, and public programs that connect residents with resources, services, and promote youth sports and recreation programs
· Represent the organization at community meetings, events, fairs, and public forums to strengthen visibility, build trust, and expand community partnerships.
· Build and maintain partnerships with community leaders, schools, athletic organizations, and service providers to support program expansion and improve access to resources.
· Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that youth sports initiatives and community engagement activities align with organizational goals.
· Maintain a centralized calendar of youth sports and community engagement activities, ensuring effective coordination across departments and partners.
· Track and document participation, partnerships, outcomes, and program performance; prepare and submit required reports in coordination with the related grant management team
· Ensure all programs, events, and activities comply with organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.
· Perform additional duties as assigned based on organizational priorities.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, and bend over.
· Ability to lift, reach, and handle objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
· Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods. <
