Job Description:

Job Summary

MPS is seeking an energetic, efficient, self-motivated, and resourceful team player to be our Senior Global GL Technical Accounting Analyst. This role is a key member of the finance and accounting organization providing technical accounting support, financial reporting and analysis with focus on configuring and customizing our general ledger systems and applications to optimize accounting & financial reporting. This position works closely with members of the finance team domestically and internationally and will also partner with IT, Facilities, Sales and Sales Operations on various projects and processes. The Sr. Global GL Technical Accounting Analyst reports to the Accounting Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly global GL & Consolidation process and publishing of consolidating financial reports to Finance Leadership department

• Coordination and reconciliation of intercompany billing between legal entities

• Analyze, prepare and record journal entries 

• Review and analysis of subsidiary financial statements to ensure compliance with US GAAP requirements

• Foreign currency technical analysis

• Preparation of global consolidated cash flow statement and supporting schedules

• Track and reconcile capital contributions between legal entities

• Assist in the due diligence and accounting for customer claims

• Prepare monthly reconciliations analysis for significant balance sheet accounts

• Continuous business process improvement and system design architecture

• Author technical accounting memos to support complex business transactions

• Update and maintain SOX procedures, ensure appropriate support for internal control and audit testing

• Lead discussions with external auditors to manage substantive and control testing

• Various ad-hoc project support and leadership

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Accounting, including minimum 3 years US audit Big 4 public accounting experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting (CPA preferred).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel

• Ability to problem solve and research on special projects as requested

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The base salary range for this position in Washington is $120,000 - $140,000.
