This position offers a $15000 DUHS Commitment Bonus for the Patient Flow & Transfer Center Team (or Former Duke employee returning to Duke after 1 year into the Duke Health System)

Duke University Hospital, a pillar of healthcare excellence, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Patient Flow team as an Assistant Nurse Manager. In this role, you will play a critical part in facilitating and coordinating patient movements within our healthcare system and across regional healthcare networks.

The Patient Flow team at Duke University Hospital is looking to grow! Comprised of exceptional clinical professionals, they are dedicated to ensuring the seamless coordination of patient movement within our world-class healthcare system, as well as with neighboring regional healthcare providers.

 

Department Profile:

The Patient Flow team collaborates with referring agencies, hospitals, clinics, and emergency departments across the state and beyond to ensure the safe and efficient integration of patients into the Duke University Health System. They also oversee patient movement within the facility, coordinating transfers between the Inpatient Units, PACU, Emergency Department, and Ambulatory Clinics. This team works closely with providers to assess patient needs, prioritize them based on acuity, and relocate patients accordingly.

 

Schedule:

  • Shift: Nights; 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • FTE (Full-Time Equivalent): 1.0
  • Hours: Determined based on departmental needs
