About the role
Operates a vehicle to make deliveries and pick-ups at multiple substations.
1. Operates a van, car, pickup, small bus or other vehicle to pick-up/deliver materials and supplies such as receipts and license plates to multiple substations. Maintains confidentiality of information and documents in accordance with departmental and Dallas County policies and procedures.
2. Loads and unload materials and supplies in vehicles and maintains confidentiality of information and documents in accordance with departmental and Dallas County policies and procedures.
3. Receives, checks, stores and maintains a variety of supplies, and records shortages. Performs mailroom and other clerical duties as required.
4. Performs other duties as assigned. Education, Experience and Training:
Graduation from an accredited high school/GED Program. Three (3) years of work related experience operating a motor vehicle and performing clerical duties or 45 hours of college credit or a combination of the two.
Special Requirements/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Must possess a Texas Class C Driver’s License, with a good driving record. Mandatory drug test prior to and will be subject to random, unannounced drug and/or alcohol testing during employment.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
Requires the ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs. assisted. Ability to withstand prolonged sitting, standing, bending, squatting, twisting, kneeling, lifting, stretching and climbing ladders. Must be able to work in varying conditions, surroundings and weather conditions.
