As a Manager, Pharmacy Product Development, Immunization Safety & Quality Manager within the Retail Immunization Program, you will be directly supporting the CVS Pharmacy Immunizations Program.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for regulatory/compliance aspects of the program and practice standards for our Immunizers.
  • You will ensure compliance by tracking and implementing federal and state regulatory changes.
  • You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives and deliver education related to vaccines and vaccines preventable diseases by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and engaging in clinical research and teaching.
  •  You will contribute to the creation, maintenance, and assessment of current immunization tools and resources as well as provide input to future enhancements to workflow.
  • The RPh Manager will be a part of assessing vaccine clinical updates from CDC, ACIP or other authoritative bodies and surveillance of industry literature/studies for published results impacting vaccines or vaccine preventable diseases. 
  • This is a great opportunity to collaborate cross functionally with many Retail Pharmacy and Enterprise teams such as Patient Safety, Legal, Regulatory, Training, and Professional Practices. 
  • This role requires a pharmacist license but does not actively dispense prescriptions to patients/customers/members.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years related experience in retail pharmacy or related field.
  • Active pharmacist license in the state of residence that is in good standing;
  • Immunization Certificate
  • Ability to travel based upon team needs, up to 10%

  • Deep functional knowledge of CVS pharmacy operations and systems
  • Clinical knowledge of drug/vaccine and related health information
  • Demonstrate competence with spreadsheets and presentation software, including intermediary knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information ethically and responsibly.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities with the ability to handle competing deadlines; flexible and adaptable.

Education

  •  Bachelor’s Degree in pharmacy or PharmD or equivalent experience required
