Senior Cybersecurity Compliance Engineer

TwoSix is hiring a Cybersecurity Compliance Engineer. The engineer will be responsible for the implementation of OS and software compliance requirements, remediation of items found to be out of compliance, and will also act as the subject matter expert on interpreting compliance requirements. The engineer will create policies, processes, and automations to ensure consistent configuration and to minimize adverse effects requirements may have on installed applications.

Responsibilities Include:

• Using DevSecOps techniques to ensure consistent and updated configuration
• Customizing configuration to minimize negative impact to running applications
• Providing guidance on custom configurations for unique deployment scenarios
• Implementing and communicating remediation steps for items found to be out of compliance
• Regularly self-auditing to ensure latest configurations are present and working correctly
• Troubleshooting application misbehavior caused by compliance controls

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
• Minimum 5 years experience in Bash, Zsh, Python, or similar scripting languages
• Minimum 5 years experience with Git, SVN, or CVS
• Minimum 5 years experience administering Linux/UNIX systems
• Minimum 3 years experience configuring systems using STIG, CIS, or similar benchmarks
• Minimum 3 years experience with ACAS or similar compliance auditing tools
• DoD 8570 baseline certification meeting IAT Level II standards or higher
• Familiarity with FIPS, NIST SP 800-53, or other government cybersecurity regulations

Nice To Have: 

• (ISC)2 CSSLP, GIAC GWEB, CompTIA CySA+, or similar advanced cybersecurity certification
• Experience with application STIGs such as Apache httpd or the Java Runtme Environment
• Experience with PKI
• Experience with any of the following: Postgres, Bash, Docker, DAG build tools (Bazel, Buck, etc)
• General understanding of networking concepts

Clearance qualifications:

• US Citizen with active clearance or ability to obtain a clearance up to polygraph
