Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer, design, and maintain computerized databases in a client/server environment.
  • Project long-range requirements for database administration and design in coordination with other managers in the information systems function.
  • Conduct quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data.
  • Advise users on access to various client/server databases.
  • Design, implement, and maintain complex databases considering JCL, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods.
  • Apply knowledge of database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end/back-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
  • Perform database programming and support systems design, including maintenance of database dictionaries, monitoring standards and procedures, file design and storage, and integration of systems through database design.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience

  • Minimum of five (5) years progressive experience with database query languages such as Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL Server, and MS Access.
  • At least three (3) years hands-on experience and expertise in Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).
  • Experience working on multiple operating systems and with additional programming languages.
  • Experience in at least two projects in a large organization administering, operating, maintaining, and securing large-scale computer databases.

 

Certifications

  • Relevant database certification such as MCITP DBA, MCITP DBD, MCSE:DP, MCSM:DP, or MS SQL Server 2012.
  • DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certification: Category IAT Level II
  • COMPTIA Security+ CE
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
    • COMPTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) Global Industriel Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
    • Global Information Assurance Certification (GAIC) Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
    • Certified Network Defender (CND)
    • Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)

Education

  • Undergraduate degree required.

 

Clearance

  • Top Secret – IT-I (Tier 5) Critical Sensitive Clearance
