About This Role
The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented self-starter who thrives within the boundaries of an empowered team to provide planning, continuity and coordination for turnaround maintenance activity across the TXO site using Dow's Global Platinum Turnaround Work Process. The Senior Turnaround Coordinator has responsibility for planning and execution of all phases of the turnaround (planning, pre-work, shutdown and post-work). This role is instrumental to meet the Business and TES strategy for duration, budget, and operational reliability in order to minimize the long-term cost of ownership of our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Review work orders for technical completeness and return them to operations (AC/GK) if incomplete
- Identify task activities needed to execute the work plan and determine the materials/tools/equipment required
- Identify safety information and requirements necessary to perform tasks safely
- Perform field checks to develop job execution plans and develop corresponding picture packages
- Prepare job packages and enter the plans into SAP, specifying required resources, materials, and services, and create the corresponding purchase orders
- Conduct cross-functional job reviews to ensure accurate and optimized scope
- Implement Diamond turnaround work process in order to execute turnarounds on time & within budget to meet operational reliability needs and minimize long-term cost of ownership
- Provide continuity and coordination of planning and scheduling
- Identify corrective action alternatives for schedule and cost deviations
- Provide coordination during turnaround execution
- Archive job plans after turnaround completion
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent
- 2 or more years of relevant experience (e.g., turnaround, pipeline, manufacturing)
- Must have current, valid US Driver's License.
- A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Turnaround or Maintenance Planner/Coordinator role (within a manufacturing, industrial or similar environment)
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Powerpoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Previous experience working in SAP
Physical Demands
- Must be willing and able to do the following with or without reasonable accommodation
- Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to a respirator
- Perform frequent bending, reaching, and lifting
- Frequent/occasional lifting of material weighing approximately 50 lbs
- Work in tight or closed-in spaces
- Climb stairs/ladders and work high off the ground
- Stand 50% of the time
- Walk for extended periods of time
- Work in an area of intense or continuous noise
- Work in an area with hazardous materials
- This role does involve elevated work greater than or equal to four feet above the ground. Must be able to wear and use personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses with a total weight capacity of 285lbs
