Park Place of St. John, an Independent Living Community, located in St. John, IN is seeking Security Guard, Part Time for Night Shift. Park Place of St. John is a member of the Providence Life Services family where we are committed to enhancing the lives of those we serve!

Schedule and Shift Hours: 10:00PM - 8:00AM. Must be able to work EVERY OTHER Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Summary of essential job functions:

• Checks all exit doors to be certain that they are locked.
• Operate phone system and answer calls to the building.
• Monitor activities in hallways and responds to resident’s needs.
• Contact emergency personnel on behalf of residents when warranted.
• Respond to fire or emergency situations responsibly and provide access to community to emergency responders.
• Report environmental needs; i.e. non-operating light bulbs, dirty carpet, wet floors, wet carpet, tripping hazards, etc. to Environmental Director.
• Distribute the morning newspapers to the proper rooms.
• Other related duties and responsibilities as requested by management.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of security or night watchman experience preferred but not required.
• Pass a physical, drug screen, 50-pound lift test, fingerprint for criminal background and complete a reference check.
