Purpose
The Manager is a key contributor in ensuring the success of the Medical School's day-to-day financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting activities.
Responsibilities
Carry out ad hoc reporting and analysis in support of Medical School initiatives including financial modeling of new business proposals. Partner with Planning & Business Development to provide analytical support for enterprise strategic decision-making. Communicate with leadership on financial modeling and scenarios.
Collaborate with the Financial Reporting function to develop financial tracking separate from current processes for the Hospital and Physician Practice and work to develop financial performance dashboards for leadership use.
Maintain a long-term economic forecasting model to support and illustrate the strategic plan and vision for the Medical School.
Coordinate with the budgeting team to integrate outputs of strategic financial modeling into the annual budgeting process. Collaborate with Operations, HR, Finance, and other enterprise functions to implement hiring and other tactical outputs from strategic planning.
Other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of related work experience in financial planning, forecasting, financial analysis, and budgeting including demonstrating increasing responsibility. Broad knowledge of financial planning and budgeting. Superb analytic, project management, and presentation skills, as well as demonstrated knowledge of and experience managing financial and capital planning. Strong organizational skills, a flexible work style and be able to manage multiple challenging projects simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
An advanced degree in business, accounting, finance or related field. More than five years of related work experience demonstrating increasing responsibility. Experience in academic healthcare, hospital, and/or higher education setting.
Salary Range
$75,000 + depending on qualifications
