Job Description:
This role is based in Dallas, Texas, requiring in-office presence 5 days/week. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
The AVP is responsible for leading and rallying cross functional teams to align on strategic goals and initiatives. They establish winnable growth paths for the company and codify them within the 3-year growth plan in collaboration with the Corporate Strategy and Development teams. They conceptualize and shepherd the realization of radical new products, services, and initiatives that can differentiate the brand and can motivate choice in collaboration with the Product, CX, and Digital teams. They develop the product and brand portfolio vision, strategy and architectures to ensure coverage of demand and growth vectors, drive cross portfolio product and feature clarity, and define marketing communication hierarchy and levels of marketing funding and support. They are truthtellers and mythbusters who push for strategic, insight-based decision-making– sometimes requiring BU and Marketing Leaders to reframe or rethink their course of action. They identify and build support for tipping point ideas that can transform our business. They know the brand better than anyone else, they are experts on key customer segments and audiences, they have extensive analytical experience, they possess a high business IQ and they lead critical, priority growth work across all areas of the business.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Serve as a senior-level advisor during key work streams, managing the various stakeholder interests, and leading a combined team of internal and external marketing and brand strategy experts.
Partner with and provide counsel to Business Unit, Marketing Leaders, and their teams to both develop and execute move the needle marketing and brand strategies that support and accelerate business goals.
Work seamlessly with key stakeholders to execute strategies across internal and external touch points (customer experiences); including, but not limited to, sales, support, retail, customer service, retention and recruiting, citizenship/CSR/education initiatives, sponsorships, product development, digital, customer experience, and marketing communications.
Develop new strategic frameworks, case studies and methods for stakeholders to digest the business impacts of various marketing and brand strategy decisions.
Share responsibility with peers for building, managing and developing a team of internal experts who serve as the company's brain trust regarding all marketing and brand strategy decisions, topics, and questions.
Drive brand stewardship and business results through critical work streams (primarily on behalf of Marketing and Business Unit leaders), partnering with leaders across B2B, B2C, and Corporate organizations, including Product, Channel, Business Development, Corporate Strategy, Marketing Communications, Technology, Sales/Field organizations, HR and more.
Typical outputs:
Portfolio strategy and brand architecture, value propositions and positioning, segmentation and targeting, messaging frameworks, new product and feature ideation, market and opportunity sizing/verification, journey maps and CX analysis, brand health analysis, business cases, new brand development, audience based marketing strategy, marketing brief insights and inputs, brand guidance and guidelines, brand and company vision, 3-year strategic plan and more.
Education: Bachelors or Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Typically requires 10 or more years of experience.

Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
