About the role

STV is seeking a Senior Rail Vehicle Project Manager for our Vehicles department at our Washington, DC or Philadelphia, PA office.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale rail vehicle projects, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to meet client requirements.

  • Oversee cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with technical, safety, and quality standards.

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, implementing corrective measures as needed.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing updates and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field; PMP certification preferred.

  • 15+ years of project management experience in rail or transportation-related projects.

  • Strong knowledge of rail vehicle design, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.

  • Proficient in project management software and tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Compensation Range:

$168,101.50 - $224,135.33
