The individual will report to the Manager, Revenue Accounting, and will be based out of either our Los Angeles, CA, or Los Gatos, CA office. 

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Be part of the team responsible for the financial integrity of the company's ancillary revenues, assets (i.e. accounts receivables), and liabilities (i.e. deferred revenue).

  • Own other ancillary workflows (e.g. music royalties, live experiences, theatrical). 

  • Review incoming royalty reports received from partners and assess for reasonableness.

  • Review and prepare documentation of ancillary agreements, which includes interpreting contractual terms and understanding the application of our accounting policies.

  • Perform monthly close tasks (such as revenue entries and reconciliations).

  • Drive operational process improvements and system integrations. 

  • Work closely with various teams throughout the company including Legal, Finance, Licensing, Tax, and Engineering.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience - public accounting or in-house/corporate accounting are both great; CPA license is preferred

  • Advanced Excel experience with the ability to navigate large data sets

  • Proven project management experience and demonstrated ability to drive process improvements

BONUS EXPERIENCE - NOT REQUIRED BUT ARE A PLUS!

  • Industry experience in consumer products or royalty accounting 

  • Experience with Workday Financials 

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary; we do not have bonuses. You choose each year how much of your compensation you want in salary versus stock options. To determine your personal top of market compensation, we rely on market indicators and consider your specific job family, background, skills, and experience to determine your compensation in the market range. The range for this role is $50,000 - $240,000.
